I was born and raised in the small southern California town of El Segundo.  I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Liberal Studies, and went on for another year to complete my teaching credential.  I taught for 16 years in the Garden Grove Unified School District, in grades 3, 3/4, 2 and kindergarten.  I love kindergarten because it is the most amazing place to see growth in students.  They are "my people!"

I have been married to my husband, Jack for 23 years, and together we have 2 brilliant and beautiful daughters.  Elizabeth is 19 and a sophomore at University of California, Davis.  She is majoring in Animal Biology.  Erica is a senior at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, Ca.  She is very artistic and hopes to pursue a career in illustration.  We moved to Colorado a year ago for my husband's job with United Launch Alliance.  For 2 native Californians, this has been an adventure!

I am excited about being a part of the Centennial community.  Together, we can accomplish great things!
